Board Action - Board approved recommendation # 1 of item 62 below, and referred the issue to the Georgetown Airport Advisory Committee for its review and input to the Board prior to November 26, 2002 November 5, 2002 - 9:00 A.M. DEPARTMENT MATTERS 62. Supervisor Baumann recommending the following pertaining to the Georgetown Airport: (1) Clarify that on November 26, 2002, in addition to receiving a report from the Director of General Services on interim operations of said Airport, the Board will receive input from the members of the public on all aspects of the future operations of same; (2) Indicate that following receipt of the General Services report and public input on November 26, 2002, the Board will refer the issue to the Georgetown Airport Advisory Committee for its review and input to the Board; and (3) Direct County Counsel to inform Mr. Steve Cimmarusti that the deadline for vacating the leased premises under the previously issued notice is further extended to January 17, 2003. Supervisor Baumann believes that this recommendation will provide assurance that the public will be afforded ample opportunity to provide input on the future of the Georgetown Airport in an orderly fashion and will allow for a referral to the Georgetown Airport Advisory Committee with sufficient time to provide meaningful input to the Board of Supervisors after information from staff and public input is received on November 26, 2002.
